This is my newest hen, Danger. Shes the daughter of my Ameraucauna hen, Mad Madam Mim the Feather Eater . Her father is either William or Harry, both boys are Black Sex Links
or Black Stars or what ever you like to call them. (You can see a photo of Harry on the *famous* Feathersite website - [link] Scroll down, hes the roo in the third row down, on the right )
Danger was born March 4th of this year. Shes growing like a weed! Changing so much. When she was first hatched I got *girly* vibes from her. I admit, it was probably just wishful thinking, but I was right! She isnt laying yet, but she shows all the signs of being a hen. Though she IS rather aggressive, hence the name Danger! If shes in the mood, shell take after me like shes a big ole roo! But today, while taking this pic, she was very calm and sweet. Even sat on my knee and let me pet her! She barely pecked me, just little love bited that didnt even leave a mark, heehee! And for once she didnt try to pull my earrins out or peck my eyes. Chickens are awful with that. They love anything shiny!
You can see Danger when she was just 5 days old here - [link]
Thank you! Im very proud of this little lady. Ive only had my flock a little over a year now and shes the first Ive ever hatched! Well, I didnt hatch her, but you know what I mean! Oh! And Im posative shes a lady, now. I found her first egg today! It was a tiny little green thing. I will psot a pick of it later. I blew it out and Im saving it. Its too cute to crack and eat!!
